Sweet Pea Chelsea Centenary - 41640
Bred by Dr. Keith Hammett, 'Chelsea Centenary' is a clear blue exhibition type sweet pea with five or six wavy flowers on each stem. Named by the Royal Horticultural Society to celebrate the 100th World Famous Chelsea Flower Show held in London each year.
Sweet Pea Cocktail - 41660
Bred by Dr. Keith Hammett this sweet pea produces striking maroon and purple bi-coloured flowers with a lovely scent. It was one of our most favoured sweet peas by everyone that saw it.
Sweet Pea Dorothy Eckford - 41700
A true grandiflora cultivar bred by Henry Eckford and introduced in 1903. A pure white with slightly hooded standard petals and clamped keel. The seed coats are pale and should not be soaked before sowing.
Sweet Pea Earl Grey - 41710
Earl Grey is a large flowered Spencer type Sweet Pea with two tone flaked petals. Flaked varieties have colour on both sides of the petals that radiate from the middle out to the edges. Normally there will be a single colour on a white background but what is unusual about Earl Grey is that the colour on the outer petals is maroon, while on the wing petals it is dark blue.

Early Gwendoline was our first sweet pea to flower, from a July planting it started flowering in November. Rosy-pink flowers on long stems.
Sweet Pea Enchante - 41730
Bred by Dr. Keith Hammett, 'Enchante' has the most beautiful, fragrant, bi-coloured pink and lavender flowers. Looks stunning picked as a bunch and is another Egmont favourite.
Sweet Pea Enigma - 41740
Enigma' The name reflects both questions regarding parentage and breeding behaviour. Medium size flowers with a lovely, strong, unique scent and intriguing pink markings. Highly floriferous. Sow March-June for Spring flowers or June-September for summer flowers.

Sweet Pea Mahogany - 41880

Sweet Pea Maloy - 41890
Absolutely stunning orange/apricot pink blooms with as many as seven flowers per stem. Maloy is a reverse bicolour sweet pea where the wing petals in the foreground are darker in colour than the flag petals in the background. Great for using in arrangements. Bred by Dr. Keith Hammett.
Sweet Pea Maximorph - 41910
Maximorph is an updated version of Blue Shift bred by Dr Keith Hammett. It still has the same morphing colours as Blue Shift but has a light blue-lavender threaded throughout it. Sweet Pea Mollie Rilestone - 41940
Extremely popular cut flower. Gorgeous creamy coloured flowers edged in a soft apricot/pink, that fade with age. Highly fragrant. Bred by Tremewan in England.

Sweet Pea Mrs Collier - 41960
Mrs Collier' is an ancestral cultivar of historic significance - first introduced in the UK in 1905 by Dobbie's and named for the wife of one of the employees at their Mark's Tey seed farm. It has primrose coloured buds which open cream, and a delicate vanilla scent. More recently it became notable as the foundation cultivar used in the cross between Lathyrus odoratus and L. belinensis, which has led to the various Lathyrus x hammettii hybrids.

Sweet Pea Nimbus - 41980
Moody, inky blue-grey blooms are flaked and rimmed with aubergine colouring. Very unique in appearance. Bred by Unwins.
Sweet Pea North Shore - 41990
Another Egmont favourite, 'North Shore' was an absolute picture with its large frilly bicoloured blooms. Contrasting dark violet with pale blue wings and delectably fragrant, definitely one to plant. Sweet Pea NZ Gardener - 42010
NZ Gardener' was named to celebrate 75 years of publication of the NZ Gardener magazine. True blue is a rare colour in flowers and this is a step closer for Sweet Peas. It resulted from the cross 'Big Blue' x 'Blue Wonder'. It has 5-7 flowers per stem, each with clamped keels and slightly hooded standard petals. Bred by Dr. Keith Hammett.
Sweet Pea Original - 42030
This is the genuine wild Sweet Pea. It is very highly scented. All other Sweet Peas have been developed from it. This is distinct from the cultivar Cupani, which is an impostor. Keiths stock seed was collected in Sicily during the 1970's.

Sweet Pea Piggy Sue - 42070
Piggy Sue' (no, not Peggy Sue) is named after a pig rescued from farrowing stalls. It is a pink flush on a cream ground, young flowers when first open appear as a pink picotee. Sweet Pea Pink Diana - 42080
Part of the Elegance series specifically designed for cutflower production under short days. Can be grown in low light and cool greenhouse conditions (13ºC). Elegance produces few side shoots than Spring flowering varieties.
Sweet Pea Pink Nines - 42090
An outstanding multiflora type with large wavy pink flowers and capable of producing up to nine flowers per stem. Bred by Dr. Keith Hammett. Sow March-June for Spring flowers or June-September for summer flowers.
Sweet Pea Porlock - 42100
A very appealing grape and violet bicoloured flower bred by Dr. Keith Hammett. Stems are shorter than normal, so best used in small posy vases or cut the whole branch for use in arrangements.
Sweet Pea Primrose - 42110
Bred by Dr. Keith Hammett, 'Primrose' was produced early in Keith's Lathyrus belinensis x L. odoratus breeding programme. It was not disseminated earlier as he was aiming for a bright buttercup yellow. Notwithstanding, it has recently been described in the UK as the nearest yet to yellow. A summer flowering modern grandiflora.
Sweet Pea Princess Elizabeth - 42120
Large and late flowering 'Spencer type' is also 'multflora' (named for the number of flowers per stem). The original 'Spencer type' was discovered in the garden of the Earl of Spencer in the 18th century, from which all modern colours were bred from. 'Princess Elizabeth' has stunning salmon pink flowers and is very floriferous.

Route 66' is an updated version of 'Renaissance', which was the first modern pink and white bicolour. Good in the garden and can hold it's own on the show bench. Bred by Dr. Keith Hammett.
