Capsicum Hot Jalwa India

Capsicum Hot Jalwa was bred in India - pretty much says it all, got to be worth a try for all you hot pepper lovers! Tall plants with strong branching habit. Mad Hatter is a flat disc pepper that is crunchy and crisp. Its not unlike our previous Habanera Flyer that we used to supply - looks a bit like a spaceship. This very popular all purpose sweet pepper is easy to grow and is right up there with great yields. It has a delicate floral scent and rich flavour that intensifies/sweetens as it matures. The plant habit is extra large and vigourous. In hot, dry climates a small number of fruit will have a touch of heat close to the seed cavity, but the fruit wings are always sweet. Carrot Kuroda

This is a New Zealand produced carrot. An interesting fact is that here in NZ we grow 40% of the worlds carrot seeds - not bad for such a wee country - Good on yah Mate. Rumour has it that the yellow carrot is The Carrot for pickling! Not sure where the rumour came from or how true it is, but give it a try and let us know what you think. Yellow carrots contain high levels of the carotenoid lutein, this is excellent for preventing macular degeneration of the retina. A study (quite a few years ago, but no less significant) showed that getting lutein from yellow carrots versus taking a supplement was more successful as the supplements had the effect of reducing the beta-carotene concentrations. This just confirms what we already know, you can't beat the value of eating home-grown, fresh produce, good on you for making the effort.
