Goji Berry
Goji Berries grow on a deciduous shrub found in temperate and subtropical regions in China. They are typically used in dried berry form. Goji Berries are unique among fruits because they contain all essential amino acids and have the highest concentration of protein of any fruit. They are also high in Vitamin C, Fiber, Iron, Calcium, Zinc, Selenium and have many other trace minerals. A near Superfood! Great for smoothies or just as a snack.

Gomphrena Bicolour Rose
Clusters of bright rose flowers with white centres that enhance both fresh and dried flower arrangements. Makes a different bedding plant that can withstand hot and humid conditions.

Gourd Bitter Poonam
An unusual looking fruit with medium “spines" Plant grows like a vine and requires staking. Fruit is Light green in colour and grows up to 20-25cm in length. Bitter Gourd is rich in fibre and low in glycemic index, which means it helps in lowering blood sugar levels!

Gourd Bottle
Plant grows like a vine and requires staking. It has long, green cylindrical fruit that grow around 30-40cm in length. The flavour is mild; similar to summer squash and cucumber. “Lauki” is made from Bottle Gourd - a light tomato based curry with “Koftas". Bottle Gourd is used frequently in Indian cuisine.

Gourd Luffa Sponge Neeta
Plant grows like a vine and requires staking. This edible version of Snake Gourd - Casper has fruit that weighs approximately 100-150 grams and has a whitish “ghost” appearance to it. The whole fruit is eaten as a vegetable when young. When mature the soft red tomato like pulp can be used in cooking as a tomato substitute.

Gourd Sponge (Cooking)
Similar to zucchini, pick fruit when young and succulent. Used in a variety of dishes in Indian, Chinese and South East Asian cuisines, where the fruits soak up the flavours they are being cooked in. Gourds are members of the cucumber, melon and pumpkin family. They like it warm and sheltered from wind.

Gypsophila Snowflake
A perennial gypsophila that bears masses of dainty snow-white coloured flowers. Please note that not every flower will be double, almost 50% will be single but still equally as nice and useful. Flowers can be used fresh or dried. Preferred by florists. Requires full sun and well-drained soil, will benefit from the odd side-dressing of dolomite lime. If you like to have fresh flowers constantly we suggest you sow new batches of Snowflake every 3-4 weeks for a constant supply through the summer.

Hebe
A delightful native bush/shrub that is smothered with purple/red flowers in spring. Likes well drained conditions but can tolerate nutritionally poor conditions! Easy to grow. Great space filler.

Fibre Optic Grass. Short, billowing mounds of soft green leaves are accentuated by flower spikes that look like fibre optic strands.

Kale Red Russian
Attractive blue-green leaves with reddish veining make Red Russian the perfect foil for any salad. Red Russian is also any chefs dream in a stir-fry, or even steamed with other vegetables. The deeply lobed and ruffled leaves are extremely tender to eat and can be picked once the plant is 30cm tall. Pick the lower, older leaves to ensure the plant continues producing. Leaves should be ready for picking after 7 weeks.

Kiwano African Horned
This fruit is oblong in shape, and is approx 3 to 5 inches long. Light-green until maturity and turning bright orange. Grow as you would a cucumber. Exotic looking with distinctive long spines on the exterior. Banana-esque flavour with a slight sour twist but very pleasant. Squeeze for a great tasting juice, add pulp to fruit salad, use as topping on pavalova or simply eat as a fruit. Not dissimilar to passionfruit pulp but seeds are similar to cucumber and pulp is lime green. Looks great in the fruit bowl.

Kohl Rabi Green Duke F1 Hybrid
The Kohlrabi bulb tastes like a mild, sweet turnip. Like the turnip, both its bulb-like stem and its greens are edible. Kohlrabi is best steamed, but can also be added to soups and stews or stir-fried. Smooth, uniform and round with slender petioles.

Kohl Rabi Purple Vienna
The flavour of Purple Vienna is best described as a mild sweet cabbage taste, it's purple skin and crisp white flesh make it The Kohlrabi variety. Excellent raw in dips and grated for salads can be cooked and stir fried.

Lagurus ovatus (Bunny Tails)
Bunny Tails are one of my favourites! It was the highlight of my childhood trips to the beach to pick as many of these as I could (to be honest I still pick them when I see them... old habits die hard!) I'm so pleased that we are able to supply this seed, now everyone can grow these delightful, fluffy, heart-warming plants without having to find a beach. Perfect for that soft, delicate border you may want. Best harvested for floral arrangements just before seed heads shed their pollen and are still light-green in colour. Seed heads harvested once they have shed pollen tend to shatter. We recommend you harvest the whole plant rather than individual stems, therefore sow multiple times throughout the season. Prefers hot and dry conditions.

Lavender Hidcote
Subtle blue-green colouring and sweetly fragrant, Hidcote is also one of the most versatile Herbs in the world. Rich in lavender oils, Hidcote provides greater fragrance power, is suitable for creams and perfumes potpourris and sachets. If you're really adventurous it can be used in candies and cakes! (a process called Lavender Crystallization). Hidcote also has a superior erect, compact habit with darker flowers compared to standard lavender - perfect for hedges.

Layia Tidy Tips
A cheerful, annual daisy permeating yellow petals tipped with white. Like most daisies they like a sunny free draining site , flowering from late spring and all summer long.

Leek Defiant F1 Hybrid
Try this new variety of leek for an excellent disease tolerant plant. Defiant has a long shank with dark green upright leaves. Close plantings - 15cm between plants with 50cm between rows - will encourage long shank development. Defiant is a mid-late season maturing variety. Sowing time: July-Sept - Transplanting: Oct-Dec.

Leek Musselburgh

A lemon scented herb that comes from the same family as mint. It's used widely in herbal medicine and to flavour tea and food.
