Seedling Potter - Small - 9000

Turn your newspapers into handy biodegradable pots! A fantastic simple to use implement that turns old newspapers into biodegradable seedling pots. The "pot" can be used both to plant seeds direct or for popping seedlings into when pricking out. The same principle applies as with petepots - you can simply plant the whole pot into the ground without disturbing the roots. This is especially useful for tender plants like poppies and alyssum that tend to get a bit "sad" when you move them around. The size of your newly created pot will be similar to half a toilet roll. As you can see from the image there is also a larger potter - item number 9005 Potters are made from pine.

Self Watering Propagator - 9300

Propagator, complete with capillary matting, multi-purpose tray and covers. A complete growing system for rapid seed germination. From planting your seeds to popping out a ready to transplant seedling plant. No hassles of frequently drying out cells as this system comes with its own capillary matting that supplies water as required from the reservoir. The handy multi-purpose tray is used for "firming" down potting mix, as a base for the 40-cell tray to sit on and then as a handy "pop-out" tool to gently remove your plants on completion. Also included is a tray used as a reservoir and a plastic top cover that will prevent the unit from drying out too quickly. The water level is easily seen through the watering hole, simply top up as required. The cell tray is made of polystyrene, which encourages constant warmth around the developing plant. The Self-Watering Propagator has a large open hole at the bottom that allows you to see when the roots have developed enough to be planted out without having to disturb them - allowing perfect timing, every time for planting out. The Large Propagator has channels that will facilitate overflow water, allowing moisture to stay in the container which will help to keep your punnets from drying out as quickly. The large propagator easily fits 10 punnets at one time. Lid has adjustable vents for air circulation. Although the base does not have drainage holes punched through, it does have indented recesses for you to easily punch through yourself if you choose to use this propagator on your head-pad. Sturdy, high-quality propagator made in the UK. This little cutie will fit on your window sill. This small propagator is the same size as those provided when you purchase the Early Grow Electric Propagator, with the exception of the pre-drilled holes. Great to have a follow-through set on hand, so you can direct sow into them and rotate as you prick out and transplant the new seedlings. Alternately this convenient window sill sized container can be used indoors or outdoors to propagate small quantities of seed as you need them. Excellent for use of small regular sowings, simply pop your punnet inside for the first sowing, then at regular intervals of a couple of weeks or so, pop in the next lot to ensure a steady supply of lettuce, spinach or any regular varieties that you choose to sow. WigWam Plastic Cane Connector - 9215

No need to get tangled in knots tying your teepee together! This pea and bean ring secures all your bamboo together to make an effective frame for all your climbing plants. Suitable for peas, beans, sweet peas and any other climbers. Insert your bamboo into the ground and simply clip the bean ring into place. Bamboo stakes that have a “thick and thin” end are most suitable. The smaller end of the bamboo will fit into the clip more readily and avoid putting stress on it to breaking point. This item can be re-used from season to season.
