This variety originated in the town of Ping Tung in Taiwan, hence its name.
Hardy, disease resistant plants bear heavy yields of sweet and tender fruits - sometimes as many as twenty per plant. The fruits are light purple, length varies from 30-45cm long and they are only 3cm in diameter.
Best to stake the bushy plants for the straightest fruits.
