Capsicum Hot Jalwa was bred in India - pretty much says it all, got to be worth a try for all you hot pepper lovers! Tall plants with strong branching habit. Fruit are 13-14cm long and a nice light-green colour. Jalwa will turn red when fully ripe but like most peppers will become sweeter and lose a bit of heat. These peppers are medium to hot.

This variety originated in the town of Ping Tung in Taiwan, hence its name. Hardy, disease resistant plants bear heavy yields of sweet and tender fruits - sometimes as many as twenty per plant. The fruits are light purple, length varies from 30-45cm long and they are only 3cm in diameter. Best to stake the bushy plants for the straightest fruits.
