Seeds can be planted into punnets and placed into the containers, or sown directly into seed raising mix in the containers. This variety originated in the town of Ping Tung in Taiwan, hence its name. Hardy, disease resistant plants bear heavy yields of sweet and tender fruits - sometimes as many as twenty per plant. The fruits are light purple, length varies from 30-45cm long and they are only 3cm in diameter. Best to stake the bushy plants for the straightest fruits.
