Cauliflower iStem - 54860
New to the market this year iStem is similar to growing broccolini in that it has a central cauliflower curd with multiple side stems.Each plant can yield up to 10 stems per plant, with 2-3 stems coming through on the first harvest, followed by successive sets coming through. Removing the central curd has little effect on stem production and most growers prefer to leave it on and add to their harvest.

Chicory Grumolo Verde (Green) - 55355
Dark green head with rosette. Harvest as a cut-and-come-again or loose leaves for salads and risottos.Slightly bitter tasting but the bitterness will reduce if exposed to frost, soaking in ice cold water or cooking. If grown for Autumn harvest, initial growth is a somewhat elongated head with large rounded leaves. After cutting, leave the root and crown and you will get the grumolo rosettes in the spring. Alternately, plant later in summer and you should get rosettes the following spring.

This variety originated in the town of Ping Tung in Taiwan, hence its name. Hardy, disease resistant plants bear heavy yields of sweet and tender fruits - sometimes as many as twenty per plant. The fruits are light purple, length varies from 30-45cm long and they are only 3cm in diameter. Best to stake the bushy plants for the straightest fruits.
