Cauliflower iStem - 54860

New to the market this year iStem is similar to growing broccolini in that it has a central cauliflower curd with multiple side stems.Each plant can yield up to 10 stems per plant, with 2-3 stems coming through on the first harvest, followed by successive sets coming through. Removing the central curd has little effect on stem production and most growers prefer to leave it on and add to their harvest.

Chicory Grumolo Verde (Green) - 55355

Dark green head with rosette. Harvest as a cut-and-come-again or loose leaves for salads and risottos.Slightly bitter tasting but the bitterness will reduce if exposed to frost, soaking in ice cold water or cooking. If grown for Autumn harvest, initial growth is a somewhat elongated head with large rounded leaves. After cutting, leave the root and crown and you will get the grumolo rosettes in the spring. Alternately, plant later in summer and you should get rosettes the following spring.

Chicory Italiko - 55360

An heirloom variety from Italy, it is also known as "Red Dandelion" due to its beautiful dark-red stems. Popular in salads with its bitter spicy taste. It is also great to harvest as a baby leaf variety. Cut leaves off as required and the plant will continue to produce new ones.

Corn Bicolour Honey N Pearl F1 Hybrid - 55500

Finely textured, well filled, bicolour cobs. Main crop variety, maturing 100-105 days. A "Supersweet" variety, with cobs reaching 18 to 20cm.

Corn Popcorn Mushroom F1 Hybrid - 55820

Mushroom popcorn kernels produce firm, round pieces of popcorn with a bit of chewiness. It is denser and more compact than butterfly corn and because it doesn’t have the “wings” like the butterfly type it holds up well in the stirring and coating process. Make your own delicious caramel corn, yum!Popcorn is becoming increasingly popular, now you can grow your own! Just grow as you would a normal sweet corn, except leave the cobs to dry on the plant. Popcorn is a heavy feeder and needs plenty of nitrogen. Your Popcorn will be ready to harvest when the husks have dried and the kernels are plump, well-coloured and shiny. Remove the husks and dry the cobs fully in a cool, well ventilated place for at least a month. Your kernels will not pop if they are too moist. Test if they are ready by attempting to pop several kernels, if they don't pop, or if the popped corn is chewy, try again after several more days of drying. When cobs are fully dry, harvest them by rubbing seeds off the cob via a twisting action with your hands. Store in an air-tight container (you can pop your container in the fridge) until you are ready to pop them. If stored well they should retain their popping quality for several years!

Eggplant Ping Tung - 56945

This variety originated in the town of Ping Tung in Taiwan, hence its name. Hardy, disease resistant plants bear heavy yields of sweet and tender fruits - sometimes as many as twenty per plant. The fruits are light purple, length varies from 30-45cm long and they are only 3cm in diameter. Best to stake the bushy plants for the straightest fruits.

Gherkin Eureka F1 Hybrid - 57100

Great for bottling, these dark green spined gherkins are disease resistant.Earlier we thought this variety produced all "female" flowers, however this information is incorrect, sorry for any confusion. Eureka is monoecious, this means it can have female and male flowers on the same plant.
