Very similar to a fancy lettuce only the thick, frilled, buttery leaves are tender, yet crisp and have a distinctive, if not slightly bitter flavour. Excellent for salads or mesclun blends. The inner leaves blanch to a creamy white. Great texture for warm chicken or feta salads.
Gherkin Eureka F1 Hybrid - 57100
Great for bottling, these dark green spined gherkins are disease resistant. Earlier we thought this variety produced all "female" flowers, however this information is incorrect, sorry for any confusion. Eureka is monoecious, this means it can have female and male flowers on the same plant.
